The spa facilities cost extra. I did not expect this. I also found that Laguna Taverna closed for the summer without any warning. Room cleaning was not great. My son's cot sheet was not changed once. There were no free water bottles or ice lollies by the pool.

the room cleaning was, let's say, economical. my son's cot sheet was to be a permanent fixture, never changed during our nearly two-week stay. towel animals were absent, unlike other places i have stayed at. also, complimentary water or ice lollies by the pool were nowhere to be found. it's the small things, i suppose.

I found the air conditioning effective throughout the hotel. This made it a pleasant escape from the heat outside. The room was spacious. It featured a great bath, wet room, and rainforest shower. The staff were courteous and proactive (even with the busy atmosphere).

I found the transition to using QR codes in every venue irritating. I missed having proper menus. The steak option with the Dine Around package, skirt steak, was not excellent. It seemed like the cheapest cut available.
