Guests consistently praise the beautifully presented and comfortable rooms, noting that some even include a mini fridge and complimentary beer and flapjacks. The Queen's Head is known for its exceptional food, with both dinner and breakfast receiving high marks, and for offering a great selection of fine cask ales and other drinks. The food here is excellent. I had both dinner and breakfast, both was lovely. Every staff member was helpful. The beer choice was also good.
The bed was very firm, along with the pillows. I did not sleep good because of this.

Wonderful Birthday Celebration

private roombeautiful presentationextreme comforthome-cooked food
I appreciate the team dressed the private room for the birthday. Most of the party stayed overnight. Rooms featured beautiful presentation and extreme comfort. I saw they offered a very competitive price, a bonus. The food quality seemed really good to me. I particularly enjoyed the fine cask ales. I look forward to revisit with my wife to enjoy the home-cooked food.
I found the bed firmness impacted my sleep. I also felt the pillows were not comfortable. This did detract slightly from the overall restfulness of my stay. it was not enough to spoil the visit.
Dining
9/10
The hotel restaurant presents a varied menu. I noted it features locally sourced ingredients. The breakfast includes fresh pastries and a selection of meals. Fresh juices are also available, which I thought was a nice touch.

The location worked well for hiking directly from the hotel! The atmosphere was really lovely with attention to detail everywhere. The food in the restaurant was great, I tell you!
The staff, mostly warm, pleasant, and friendly, experienced a slight lapse with one waitress. Her manner felt a bit brusque!
