Seasonal specials feature American pancakes with maple syrup, available with fresh fruits or grilled bacon, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs served on granary toast, and Eggs Benedict. Fresh ground coffee, breakfast tea, and specialty teas are available. The bar serves a range of drinks, including freshly ground Italian coffee and organic wine.

Guests can use the spa and leisure facilities at the Old England Spa, which offers pamper treatments and is a short walk from Woodlands. Activities include trips on a Windermere steamboat and visits to the Steamboat Museum. Kendal Farmers Market features produce from local farms and small holders and is held on the last Friday of every month.
