Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Okura Tokyo is often praised for its spacious and clean rooms, some offering amazing views, including Mt. Fuji on clear mornings. Many guests appreciate the variety of dining options such as Orchid restaurant where a good breakfast is served, Yamazato on the 28th floor with panoramic city views, and Sazanka for Teppanyaki. The hotel is located near consulates and government offices, with a safe environment, though some find it requires a 10-minute cab ride to tourist attractions, like Tokyo Station, convenient for Shinkansen travel. While generally top-notch, a few guests have noted a certain imbalance between the Heritage and Prestige sections of the hotel.

The room was gorgeous.
The front desk staff were rude. They gave mixed messages regarding opening hours. It also seemed that as a solo person, I was not welcome at the bar.

The room had devices , made life easy. I used the iPad to control the curtains. I connected my Spotify to the Bose Soundlink. The bathroom provided lovely soaps and shampoos plus a decent hairbrush.
The front desk staff seemed rude. They gave mixed messages about bar opening hours. I was refused a drink as a solo person on a Tuesday evening even though there seemed to be space.
