amazing experience!

lakefront location private onsen buffet options dining experience

The location is fantastic right on the lake and the rooftop view of mount fuji is fine. The free private onsen, available at scheduled times, added a touch of relaxation. Breakfast included both japanese and western buffet choices. I loved the private dining experience, it was authentic and special.

I loved this ryokan! the staff was very kind and helpful. the room was spacious. It included an automatic blind to cover the lake and had a beautiful view. i really liked that the hotel is very conveniently located next to many coffee shops and restaurants.

mixed feelings about the stay

forgotten dish poor english

the location was excellent , it was close to the lake and easy to access nearby attractions.

the dinner service was disappointing , a dish was forgotten from our kaiseki dinner on the first night. it took a while to realize we were missing it , we had to compare the dishes we ate with the menu provided. also , the staff member who answered the phone when i called about the missing dish had poor english , made it difficult to communicate.

i just adored our room. it featured a japanese style design with an open-air bath overlooking the lake. breakfast was a delight, with a wide assortment and also local specialties that i came to love.

the rooftop foot spa become quite slick after it rained, so i have to be very cautious while using it.

Really good Stay with Fine Views

The breakfast was excellent. I was grateful for the western food options available. We loved the private hot onsen and the frozen popsicles (a nice touch!). Everything was clean and beautiful.

The hotel has a large free public car park nearby, which might be crowded during peak seasons.

missing dish limited english

the traditional room suited my needs.

i found a significant issue with the dinner service. the staff failed to deliver a dish during my kaiseki dinner on the first night. i was not told about the missing dish, and it took considerable effort to realize it was missing after comparing the dishes i received with the provided menu. the staff member answering the phone displayed very limited english proficiency when i contacted the reception to book the private onsen and inquire about the missing dish.

public bath varied breakfast

the public bath was large and had multiple areas. i could use a sauna and massage chairs there. the breakfast had the most variety of all the breakfasts i had during my trip.

the dinner staff forgot one of my kaiseki dinner dishes on the first night. i only realized it was missing after comparing what i ate to the menu.
