Room 28 is a Modern Bungalow featuring exposed brickwork and a floating bed that looks out over the gardens and Wedding Pavilion. Executive rooms are located in a separate annex. Nine ground-floor bungalows are available. Standard Rooms are located in the main building, retaining original features. Room features include ironing facilities, heating, and free toiletries. Cottages are available with exposed beams.
Dining at King's Croft
The Kings Croft Restaurant serves a modern British menu and world wine list. The Henry VIII Bar and Brassiere is an 80-seater restaurant serving lunch, afternoon teas, and traditional Sunday lunch. The bar offers light meals, real ales, and traditional carverys. The A la Carte menu changes seasonally every 3 months to incorporate local produce. Vegetarian and vegan menus are available upon request.
Leisure and Functions
King's Croft Hotel has a sun terrace and views of the garden. A luxury spa is planned to open in 2023 on a 3-acre site adjoining the hotel. The hotel has function rooms, including two small private dining rooms and five large function rooms. Full audio-visual and conference facilities are available, including break-out rooms with air conditioning. Flexible catering and drink packages are offered. The Unique 360° Glass Wedding Pavilion seats 80, features a miniature lake and rolling countryside views.
Location and Access
The King's Croft Hotel is less than a mile from the town center of Pontefract and 45 km from Doncaster Sheffield Airport. The hotel is near Farmer Copleys (0.5 km), Pontefract's Valley Gardens (1 km), and Pontefract Town Hall (1.5 km). To reach the hotel from the M62, exit at Junction 32 and take the A645 towards Wakefield for approximately 1 mile. Wintersett Reservoir is in West Yorkshire. Cottages are available now.
