amazing time at a fantastic inn!
wide rangeinteresting corners
especially hannah. wilson was always there at breakfast, everyone was friendly and helpful. the inn is full of relevant furnishings and interesting corners to explore. the bar has a wide range of ales.
I received many emails before my visit, but i was not informed about building works right outside the windows. this caused some disturbance . I wish i had known beforehand.

The inn features three gardens. Each is designed for eating, drinking, or spending time with friends. i noticed they had bright cushions, blankets, heaters, candles, and fairy lights.

My room was themed and characterful, it had a rolltop bath off the courtyard. the bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were fabulous. It was spotlessly clean, smashing amenities. the bed was so comfortable!

I booked a beautiful double room and found it spacious. The building had a lot of character and history I also appreciated the easy check-in and check-out process.

the room had a lovely, warm COZY atmosphere. my friend appreciated the room, and the bed proved quite comfortable. i found the staff very friendly, extending helpful service. i slept well.
The check-in seemed a lengthy PROCESS. they requested a card copy, noting potential room damages. the bannister to the rooms looked old and rickety. Its safety felt uncertain. a painting's frame had chipped edges.

The location was excellent. i found myself steps from significant landmarks. the bar boasted a great selection of ales. I particularly appreciated the local brews on tap.
The stairs leading to the upper rooms were noticeably uneven. this could present a challenge with mobility issues. I had to be extra careful.

My room included a comfortable wrought iron bed and fresh towels were provided daily. The cleanliness was very good. the decor was victorian with dark woodwork. It created a historic atmosphere, but the lighting was low.

the food tasted delicious i must say. the steak and ale pie was amazing.
i wanted a room with a view, but there were scaffolding everywhere. it blocked what should have been a fine view of the minster, what a shame.
