About the Hotel
Rooms: Comfort and Style
Dikker & Thijs Hotel provides 42 rooms. Double beds range from 160 cm to 180 cm wide, and 200 cm long. Single beds are 90 cm wide and 200 cm long. All rooms feature air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests also receive a Handy Smartphone for complimentary use. Each room includes a private bathroom with a bath and/or shower, along with complimentary soap and shampoo products. Coffee and tea facilities and TVs with cable channels are also included. Rooms at the quiet rear of the hotel are available. Some rooms overlook the Prinsengracht canal; canal-view rooms are available at a supplement. Superior Rooms in the historic Canal House have wooden beam ceilings and are located on the quieter, inward-facing side. Junior Suites have views of Leidsestraat and the Prinsengracht canal. Standard and Comfort Rooms do not offer a canal view. The Penthouse Suite, located on the sixth floor (accessible by stairs from the fifth floor), has panoramic views of the Prinsengracht and the city's canal belt.
Dining: French Cuisine
Breakfast is served in a spacious breakfast room. A Dutch-style buffet is offered daily. The buffet includes bread (including gluten-free options), farm-fresh eggs, Dutch cheese, yogurt, meat, homemade fruit salad, and salmon. Cheese and eggs are sourced from Van Barneveld farm in Werkhoven, and meat comes from artisan butcher Marlet in Driebergen. Spanish premium coffee is prepared upon request. For lunch and dinner, guests can enjoy French cuisine with international influences, using seasonal ingredients. There is also a bar serving local draft beers and classic cocktails.
Leisure and Entertainment
Guests can access a fitness area with a crosstrainer, treadmill, and spinning bike. The hotel is near Leidseplein Square, which features street performers, bars, and restaurants. Stadsschouwburg, a neo-Renaissance theater, presents classical music, stand-up comedy, and musicals. The Amsterdam Light Festival illuminates the city's streets and waterways with light installations each winter.
Location and Transportation
The Dikker & Thijs Hotel is located on the Prinsengracht Canal in Amsterdam's city center. The hotel is close to Leidse Square, shopping streets, cinemas, theaters, and museums, including the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum, and Anne Frank House. The hotel connects directly to the shopping area of the city center and the Spiegelkwartier, which features over 70 art and antique shops. It is 200 meters from Leideseplein. Tram stops in front of the hotel provide direct access to Central Station in 10 minutes. Bus 397 runs from the airport to Amsterdam Leidseplein, and the hotel is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

The hotel lobby features a 24-hour reception. Guests can take advantage of complimentary wireless Internet access and concierge services. Prinsengracht meeting room can accommodate a maximum of 8 people for a meeting and 10 people for a dinner. The Lounge can accommodate 30 people standing. Onsite parking is not available. Valet parking costs €45 for the first 24 hours. Additional parking options include Parking Molenpad, located a five-minute walk away, and Parking de Hoofdstad, 280m from the hotel.
