a good overnight stay

I stayed one night before catching an early flight. i usually avoid reviews. but this experience deserves recognition. the staff brought a spare bed. This helped the kids avoid sharing the sofa bed. this detail really made the difference for us, as a family.

i found that noise from the roundabout was noticeable. the windows let in some sound. i think rooms at the back could be a quieter option. perhaps double-glazed windows would help.

i found the staff at reception very cute. my room included a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. the hotel's location made it easy to reach gatwick airport!

The room service menu only offered cold cheese or ham sandwiches, not the full menu advertised. i found the bar person to be rude and uncommunicative. This affected my experience negatively. as a vegan, i had limited choices.

filthy carpets uncomfortable mattress

The carpets in my room definitely showed wear. they seemed quite unclean and it affected the overall feel of the space, it didn't quite match a four-star expectation! the mattress was also much too firm. it felt almost like sleeping on a hard surface. I really struggled to get comfortable.

i appreciated the quick check-in after a long travel day, it felt effortless. sanjay in the club lounge, his welcome was great, making me feel like a vip. it was a lovely experience.

the bar food and drinks were really expensive. also, the room and hotel felt a bit dated overall. the toilet was also difficult to flush.
