Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Asakusa Tobu Hotel enjoys an excellent location right across Asakusa station, providing easy access to the subway and popular attractions like Sensoji temple. Many guests appreciate the spacious rooms, especially the 3-bedded rooms and upgraded rooms that offer excellent city views; some even enjoyed themed rooms like the Hello Kitty Sakura room. The breakfast receives praise, particularly the freshly made onigiri, though some found the Western options limited, and a few guests have mentioned the standard rooms being on the smaller side.

cramped space terrible pillows
The location was great. It provided easy access to sights, train lines, and dining options.
The room size was disappointing. It felt cramped. i found it difficult to relax in such a small space (especially after a long day of sightseeing). also, the pillows were terrible. They offered little support and made it hard to get comfortable.

Acceptable stay with a letdown

The hotel location was good as it was close to the main subway line.
I was not happy. The room was really small especially after I put my luggage in there. I nearly had to crawl over the bed to get around.

Balanced stay experience

great shower amazing breakfast small room hard bed
The hotel location is excellent. A subway station sits across the street. I found many restaurants nearby. The shower had great water pressure. Breakfast was also amazing. I enjoyed the plentiful Western and Japanese options.
My room felt small. There was no closet. The beds were very hard. I also found the pillows uncomfortable, like sleeping on boards.

excessive fee unprofessional comment
I found a baggage hold fee of 1000 yen per bag quite ridiculous. I was a returning guest after only one night away, it seemed excessive. We spent a considerable amount at this hotel, yet they still charged us for holding bags for that single day. The staff member made a condescending comment, it felt very unprofessional.
