The White Hart Hotel is a 14th-century building in the medieval City of Lincoln, situated between the 900-year-old Norman Castle, built in 1068 by William the Conqueror, and Lincoln Cathedral. It provides easy access to both Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. The hotel is 55 km from Humberside. National Express coaches arrive at the main bus station near the railway station. Most trains are direct, with some changing only at Nottingham. A slow walk down ' Steep Hill ' leads to the city center with retailers, a Cinema, several Theatres, the Usher Gallery, and the Lincolnshire museum, "The Collection." A corridor to the left provides level access to the lower level of The Eastgate.
