Reviews and Ratings

Feedback about The George from previous guests about their experience.
Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the excellent location of The George, right in the center of Hathersage, making it easy to explore attractions like the David Mellor shop and other local shops. The hotel's decor is frequently described as beautiful, extending to the spacious and tastefully decorated rooms, some of which feature nice touches like pre-set bedside lamps and radios for a warm welcome; rooms also include White Company products. The breakfast menu, with its varied and really good choices, is a highlight for many, as is the yogurt and granola; a few guests have found that some rooms do not meet the same high standards as others. The hotel has a lovely restaurant and bar area where guests can enjoy the good food and local beer.
