"A real genuine surprise don't let the look from outside deceive, all the staff are excellent and I spoke to at least x6 including the guy who booked us in, stayed in room 411 in the outside block would highly recommend as you've a balcony overlooking the river, good drink selection and outside patio again overlooking the river it was superb as was the dinner we had on Sunday around 9pm delicious chef Ken Kiev well done, and breakfast again really good quality food, everyone oh also parking was a breeze great location right near everything from walks to girding boats to pubs and restaurants"

It seemed to me that themed entertainment and varied breakfast options enhance the stay; however, I also read about some inconsistent refurbishment. In my opinion, with a bit more attention to detail, this could be a very solid choice for a Maidenhead visit.”

Underwhelming Stay with Issues
mould smellfaulty air conditioning
The room smelled strongly of mould. It was quite annoying. I reported it, but they just sprayed air freshener and offered no other solutions. It did not help, though! the air conditioning did not work correctly. It blew cold air even when set to hot, so it was hard to sleep.

the location beside the river was acceptable (not exactly mind-blowing, but fine).
The room i got was shockingly cold. I swear the heating was as effective as a chocolate teapot. multiple external walls combined with a perpetually open fire door meant i was basically living in a fridge. i considered wearing my ski gear to bed.

lovely stay

i had a fantastic room there. my room overlooked the thames. i also found the dining area charming (it had a great atmosphere). breakfast offered plenty of choice.
i noticed limescale stains on the bath taps. the bathroom door also did not shut properly. this could be easily fixed.

the hotel provided a spacious, free car park. this amenity allowed guests to easily park their vehicles. it contributed positively to the overall experience (especially for those with cars).
