Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Oban Bay Hotel is often praised for its elegant appearance and prime location, situated directly on the promenade with beautiful bay views from the restaurant's veranda. Many guests appreciate the clean and spacious rooms, some even upgraded to suites featuring large wet rooms with free-standing bathtubs and well-stocked fridges, including delightful treats like Tunnock's teacakes. While the cost of vouchers compared to actual room rates has been a point of concern for some, the overall dining experience receives high marks, especially the fresh seafood, such as the highly recommended langoustines.

i stayed in a petite double, and it was just lovely! it really had everything i needed for my short stay. the room and bathroom were super clean with such added quirkiness!!!
i found that this hotel only has a few parking spaces available. i did have to pay extra for valet parking, where they took my car off site. the room i had was a bit far from reception, a longer walk.

the breakfast had a fantastic range of options. the view of the bay from the bar and outside deck was excellent. i found the location to be convenient (i could easily walk to nearby attractions).
My classic double room was not very big. i found the lack of temperature control in the room uncomfortable. there was very little storage space. Only two drawers were available.
