Acceptable location, disappointing room condition

The building's location proved lovely. It provided quite beautiful scenery.

The room had a musty smell and the furniture looked stained. The bed was uncomfortable. I could feel the springs, and I woke with a bad back. I think they need to check the condition of the beds.

dated decor sliver loch

honestly, the room seemed like stepping back into the seventies, not in a good way. the decor was a bit dated. the bathroom needed some serious help. i find the room a bit stuffy. plus, the promised loch view? more like a sliver of loch between two very large trees. i expected more for what i paid. this place is overrated, the service was poor, not a place I would visit again.

clean room friendly staff

I stayed in a Classic Double Room for my visit. The room was very clean. I really appreciated this. I also found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The food in the bar was AMAZING!!!

The grounds was to be maintained by a single gardener, so I noticed some neglect in the walled garden.

cheap breakfast low-quality ingredient

The location was fine.

The breakfast food was subpar (seriously, the cheapest ingredients!). The black pudding was especially questionable. This hotel definitely does not meet 4-star standards.
