Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Malmaison Birmingham impresses many guests with its spacious and stylish rooms, some mentioning the convenient tea and coffee making facilities. Its central location, close to the train station and canal area with restaurants and bars, makes it easy to explore the city centre, Jewellery Quarter and Digbeth. While most found the rooms well-equipped, a few guests have noted the absence of minibars and the replacement of individual toiletries with larger bottles. Overall, the hotel offers a comfortable and well-located base for a city break.

Elegant Stay, Minor Hiccup

The provided toiletries were Molton Brown. Breakfast had various options. The room included both a rainfall shower and a handheld shower. The bed was comfy and allowed me a pleasant nights rest.
A bit of noise from the nearby corridor disrupted an otherwise serene stay.

late eggs breakfast experience
The location is very accessible on foot. The hotel is easy to find and reach by car (i even got a discount of 20% for parking at the nearby Q-Park).
The breakfast was a letdown. I ordered two poached eggs with toast, but only one egg arrived. The other two eggs came after i finished breakfast (so, sadly, it was not the best experience).

underwhelming stay

stuffy room poor food quality
the location was acceptable as it was quite central.
The room i had did not have air conditioning, very stuffy. i also found the decor to be quite dark and outdated. It could use some updating. the restaurant food was not good, and it was overpriced. the hotel gave off a gloomy vibe because of the lack of natural light, and the decor made it worse.
