The staff was friendly. Check-in was straightforward and fast. My room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom included both a bath and a separate shower.
The room I occupied was darker than expected. The armchairs in the room were showing wear, particularly on the arms.

crackling log burner private hot tub pizza delivery
The room was a haven. the shepherd hut had a log burner that crackled softly. It added so much warmth and charm. we found a private hot tub outdoors. It was perfect for cooler evenings. pizza delivery to the hut was a great touch. we loved this.
the bathroom shower presented a challenge. the step was too high. it prevented easy access for everyone and caused a slight inconvenience

helpful staff stately home slow service lipstick stains
The staff were lovely. The dining room offered AMAZING views. I found the room pleasant and it was easy to work from there with good WiFi. The hotel had a stately home feel.
The service was slow at times. Lipstick stains marred a coffee cup. I noticed some guests received nibbles in the lounge, while others did not. That was inconsistent.
