The staff were SO polite and helpful. The venue is first rate. I loved the lovely rooms, restaurant, gym, and spa. We had a GREAT breakfast. Free parking was also available.

The room needs a decor update, it was very basic, i think. A smart TV would be helpful.

The check-in staff were friendly. The check-out process was quick and easy. The staff addressed queries promptly and seemed eager to help with directions and recommendations, it was AMAZING.

The hotel provides convenient access to nearby attractions. A short drive takes you to a Metro station. This offers quick transport to the city without having to worry about traffic. The location worked well for attending the Great North Run events.

The rooms include very comfy beds. There was plenty of room to spread out luggage for re-sorting. The room was clean and quiet, i enjoyed a good night's sleep.

The restaurant on site is excellent. The hotel provides a Starbucks on site, TOO! There is a good breakfast. I enjoyed a very nice meal at the restaurant.

my room was not what i hoped for , specifically the bathroom , it was dirty. the shower offered only a trickle of hot water , hardly suitable for anyone , disabled or not. i also suspect the room was assigned because i booked through a third-party site.

the hotel had a gym with modern equipment (i used the treadmill). i also enjoyed the clean swimming pool. breakfast included many choices like a full english breakfast and yogurts.

the parking fee was not communicated clearly upon arrival.
