The location proved excellent. It was a quiet and peaceful area. The grounds presented well. Flowers and mature trees were cared for perfectly. Interior decoration included original ceilings. There were also many top quality paintings.

The bedroom decor looked worn. Furniture needed update.

the staff were friendly and helpful . the location was excellent and contributed to a very relaxing atmosphere. the food was at a superb level and i particularly enjoyed the breakfast offerings.

the carpets had stains and the upholstery looked old. i hope these issues will be addressed in the upcoming revamp.

the hotel has beautiful grounds that are very well maintained including a walled vegetable garden that is cared for. the bar has been upgraded since my last visit with new chairs offering comfortable seating . the restaurant features chandeliers adding to the ambiance

Breakfast had a good menu served in a beautiful room.

My room was not great. It was located in the annex named "The Grange". The shower room was far too small, it was not comfortable. The lavatory did not flush properly. That was annoying!

My room, a Beautiful Double Room, was very clean. I enjoyed my breakfast. It included superb Eggs Benedict, salami, cheese, croissants, and pain au chocolate. There was also a selection of cereals, fruit, and yogurts available.

I saw a few dead spiders in the wardrobe alcove.
