Excellent Stay Near Bamburgh
dog friendlyeasy accessexcellent foodaccommodating staff
I traveled with my dog. She was allowed in the bedroom and dining room. Access to Bamburgh and Budle Bay was quite easy. The food I tried in the dining room was also excellent, which pleased me. The staff accommodated my requests well.
The room was far too hot. The fan provided did not work well. It was also noisy.
Location
9/10
The hotel provided easy access to both Bamburgh and Budle Bay. I found the village location to be quite beautiful. I noticed the village had a peaceful atmosphere and suited my travel needs.
Rooms
9/10
My Superior King Room offered a good size bedroom, it included a comfortable bed. Very important for me. The bathroom was spacious, and it was spotlessly clean, which I value when traveling. The Hurle stone room was spacious and quiet.
Facilities
8/10
The pub area created a nice social space and I enjoyed the ambience. I appreciated the fact I could sit outside. I took advantage of the opportunity to have a pint in the sun. And I enjoyed it.
Dining
9/10
The food was fabulous, both for my evening meal and breakfast. The dinner menu was extensive and I thought the portions were large and satisfying. Breakfast was a ten out of ten for me, I must say. It was amazing.

The breakfast was super! it had a great menu and everything tasted fresh. the staff, service was fast too. my room felt so comfortable. It was spacious, and all the furniture looked new!
the tv remote needed new batteries it was difficult to change channels.
The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was also a nice size. Breakfast was excellent and featured locally sourced ingredients.
The bar sofas showed significant wear and tear with exposed foam. The music system needs updating. The bass thumped through the room (it was hard to rest). The room was unlocked when I returned after a day out.

The breakfast included a sausage each morning for my 2 dogs. This was a lovely touch. The housekeeper had great knowledge of the local area. She served breakfast. This was very helpful.
The fridge in the room was not clean. I saw dried spilled milk had been there a while. The unit with tea and coffee and kettle had not been cleaned either. I saw coffee and tea spills.
