cute staff city view healthy breakfast

the reception staff was very cute. tom at reception gave me a room with a great city view. i enjoyed the free-standing bath. breakfast had fresh and healthy options.

my room faced the main road and the noise was terrible. peace and quiet was hard to find. i probably would not stay in such room again.

The Victorian building is striking. The large room featured a stylish design. I found breakfast superb. The staff surprised us with complimentary prosecco (it made the day!). Turn down service included complimentary pillow spray.

bathroom floor frosted windows

the hotel staff were mostly friendly and helpful so that was acceptable.

The room i booked was not properly cleaned. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor, a detail i found rather off-putting. also the windows were frosted over. so i couldn't see anything outside and it reminded me of being in a prison cell, not ideal.

the location is ideal, just opposite the oxford road station and the palace theatre. check-in service was friendly and efficient, which i appreciated. the room included a useful mini fridge and comfortable furniture. a receptionist gave my daughter a complimentary birthday chocolate bar when we checked out!

i found simple amenities lacking, like having only one cup available in the room. the listing mentions free toiletries, yet i felt uneasy when a staff member threatened a charge. this happened because i moved a bottle to the other room we were moved to, without a clear policy stated.

The building had a beautiful structure. The bathtub was big and convinient. I felt welcomed from the begining, and the text message from Tess was a lovely gesture. The shower was lovely and powerful. It gave a good experience.
