Fantastic stay for wedding celebration

beautiful groundslovely foodamazing staff
i stayed for our wedding event everything was fabulous multiple rooms were booked including the barn conversions an executive double the fretwell suite and a suite all proved perfect the staff were amazing going above and beyond all weekend the grounds were beautiful too the food was lovely.
one very slight negative is that the breakfast variety could be considerably improved i noticed not much variety was available and what was offered was not very nice at all.

A Wonderful Getaway

I found the check-in process smooth and efficient, the receptionist was very helpful with directions to my room. My room had lovely views of the grounds, it was wonderful to wake up to. I certainly felt very relaxed and refreshed after using the health facilities on site , they are easy to access and well maintained.
The restaurant seemed understaffed during peak hours, it resulted in longer wait times for service. I hope management addresses this for a better dining experience.

The staff seemed really lovely and nothing seemed like too much bother! the breakfast had a good selection of different things i could choose. The cooked breakfast was spot on. free on site parking was also a real plus for me, i felt secure leaving my car there. i really enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel, it felt very cute.
the beds were quite uncomfortable and i didn't sleep well, it felt very dated. i found a stain on one of the chairs and the bar area lacked atmosphere. i probably won't eat at the restaurant again.

The staff was SO friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean. I enjoyed coffee in the courtyard outside the leisure facility. It was such a sun trap. The bed was clean and fresh.
The food in the restaurant was VERY poor! The meat was dry. The focaccia was awful. My room also had a flickering light.

the location was convenient for my needs. the gardens were well maintained.
the room felt quite dated. the bathroom fixtures were old and the shower pressure was very weak. breakfast was disappointing with limited options and the hot food was not very warm.
