Freehand New York, designed by Roman and Williams, provides a variety of rooms featuring custom art by Bard College students and alumni. Room options include solo rooms with one twin bed (120 ft²), queen rooms (185 ft² or 205 ft²), and king rooms (250 ft² or 325 ft²). Deluxe Corner King rooms (375 ft²) on Lexington Avenue have three windows. For groups, there are triple rooms with three twin beds (275 ft²) and quad rooms with four twin beds (225 ft² or 295 ft²). Suites, such as the GW Suite and Gallery Suite (650 ft²), offer two bedrooms with king or twin beds, a living room, and two bathrooms. Some rooms feature desks, seating areas, in-room safes, and USB outlets. Accessible rooms are available.
Diverse Dining Options
Freehand New York features five bars and restaurants. Comodo, a Latin American restaurant led by Felipe Donnelly and Tamy Rofe, offers dishes with influences from Mexico to Brazil. The beverage menu includes natural wines curated by Rofe and Raquel Makler, plus signature cocktails. Broken Shaker, a rooftop bar, provides handcrafted cocktails and city views. Bar Calico offers custom cocktails and small bites from Comodo. Smile To Go provides Mediterranean-inspired fare. Georgia Room pays homage to Georgia O'Keeffe.

Freehand New York offers a range of activities such as fitness classes, art workshops, and live music. Large-scale murals decorate the walls leading to Broken Shaker and the gym. The hotel has a partnership with Bard College for custom art. Georgia Room features a disco ball. The facility fee ($35 plus tax per day) includes 24-hour fitness center access and preferred access to rooftop amenities.

Freehand New York is in Manhattan's Flatiron District, near the Flatiron Building (0.4 miles) and Madison Square Park (0.3 miles). It is close to the Empire State Building (1.0 mile) and Union Square (0.6 miles). Transportation options include the 23rd Street subway station for access to LaGuardia Airport (LGA). For JFK Airport, the AirTrain connects via the Long Island Railroad from Penn Station. Newark Liberty Airport (EWR) is accessible via New Jersey Transit from Penn Station.
