mixed feelings about my stay

slow service closed pool

i was initially pleased with the room, but some things were disappointing. the service at the restaurant was slow , and the food took a very long time to arrive. additionally , housekeeping was not very attentive , and i had to call multiple times to request a simple service. the pool was also closed , and no alternative arrangements were offered , which was not ideal.

Pleasant Stay with Minor Issues

The art deco design throughout the hotel created a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The high-quality details added character and charm. The hotel also provides easy complimentary pick up from the airport. (This service was very convenient.) The staff provided excellent service in the Gold Lounge. Abhishek looked after us well in the Fairmont concept 'hotel within hotel'. This upgrade offered a quiet, personalized feel. The spa facility was attentive and excellent. The salon staff were skilled and friendly.

The check-in experience lacked a personal touch. The person at reception spent a long time with their computer. They did not make eye contact or offer a welcome. I had asked for a spare bed sheet and newspapers. These were delivered only after two reminders. The shower was defective, alternating between hot and cold water. During my visit to the Gold Lounge, I was incorrectly billed for a Martini I did not order. The small eats available were stale, disappointing.

Inconsistent service. Some issues

intrusive staff ceiling fan

the location near the airport was convenient, i suppose.

the staff seemed too focused on getting reviews. it felt intrusive, really. i was also billed for wine i didn't even drink. the noise from the ceiling fan, ugh! it was eventually fixed, thankfully.

some issues during stay

non-functional sockets unenthusiastic staff

The rooms were nicely designed , but some sockets did not work. the night light also stayed on , despite its sensor. in-room dining had issues . My drink came after the meal , and the straw was even later. turn-down service needed two phone calls , and the staff seemed unenthusiastic.

efficient transfer new equipment professional staff

The airport transfer was efficient. Melwyn greeted me warmly upon arrival. The gym had new equipment (even better than my home gym). Mayur provided exercise guidance. Breakfast offered abundant, high-quality food. The staff was consistently warm and professional.

The swimming pool was closed .
