great locationexcellent staffcruise shipnoisy sidebusy roadexpensive room
the location is great for cruiseship access. the staff are excellent, especially joe. he were really nice too.
i paid for the most expensive room. the receptionist acknowledged it was on the noisiest side of the building. it faces a busy road. this meant sleep was sometimes interrupted. both issues meant the stay was not value for money.

Acceptable stay. Some issues noticed

convenient locationhigh pricetaxi charge
The restaurant had nice rooms and a convenient location.
The price of drinks at the bar seemed too high. Two Negronis cost more than a main course. That seemed odd. I was charged £4.50 for the hotel to call a taxi. The call was to a local number, and it would have been free anyway.

charming stay near the port

convenient locationhelpful staffstreet noise
i arrived a day before my cruise and found the location convenient. the staff was helpful with directions to nearby attractions. i especially liked how close the hotel was to the historic district. the breakfast buffet included a fresh selection of fruit.
The stairs were a small inconvenience. i also noticed some noise from the street early in the morning. perhaps better soundproofing in the rooms facing the road is needed.
Rooms

my room included fluffy towels and quality toiletries, a nice touch. the bed was comfortable and i slept well. climate control was very effective, and i had no issues adjusting the room temperature.
Dining
10/10

Facilities

The hotel provides complimentary tea and coffee in the room, very handy. parking is available, though spaces are limited. there were several usb charging ports in the room which i found very helpful.
