a balanced stay
friendly staff good breakfast complimentary parking peeling wallpaper no lighting room temperature
the staff members were friendly (especially at check-in). breakfast included a good selection. the parking was free for overnight guests.
The decor needs some attention, with peeling wallpaper in places. there was no overhead lighting in the room. Only lamps. the room was quite hot, and no fans were available.

broken thermostat oppressive heat
the breakfast offered a great choice for £12.50, which i found acceptable.
The room was ridiculously hot. I couldn't adjust the radiators because the thermostat was broken. heating pipes ran throughout the room making it even hotter (like being on a beach in dubai!). the windows only opened a tiny bit for safety.
