the location offered many nearby food choices. the room was spacious with a huge, comfortable bed. easy parking was also a plus.
The firedoor exit was open. Anyone from the street could have walked in.

the hotel is in the town centre near the market place. the train station is accessible for visiting places. highclere castle is a short taxi ride away. the area is quiet enough despite being central.

the staff was lovely and very knowledgeable. i appreciated their personal recommendations of items to try. the food was simple but it was tasty and reasonably priced, i think. i will come back in the future.
the room was cold, i suspect the energy rating is very low. the room was also lacking certain expected things. there wasn't any bottled water to purchase even.

The location was very central. The room I had was spacious. The bed felt very comfortable, and everything in the room looked very clean. Staff members were helpful throughout my stay.

kind staff perfect location delicious breakfast
the staff members greeted me with such kindness. the room's location was perfect, right in the centre of the square! they suggested a space in their car-park where i could lock my bike, i really appreciated that. the breakfast was delicious and set me up for the day!
The building shows definite need for attention. There were cracks in the walls. some parts had minor chips, i also noticed small holes.

The staff were very cute. The bed was very comfortable with quality bedding. (I slept like a log!)
I didn't realize that the room would not be in the main hotel. It was very small and pokey. I was worried about security because I couldn't leave the windows open at night.
