the bar man was helpful i guess thats a win.
paying extra to park felt a bit cheeky especially with such a big car park the grandfather clock in the hallway looked like it belonged in stranger things its vintage furniture did little to impress.

the grounds were spacious and well-kept. i found lots of parking (i paid for it, though). my room was very clean, and the bed had top quality linen and sumptuous pillows. the full english breakfast was spot on (i could only have it once due to an early start).

I really appreciated the large standing fan in my room. The weather was VERY hot, so the fan helped me sleep well. Reception staff quickly provided supplies to clean and cover a knee wound after I had a fall.
