Mediocre Stay with Reception Issues
stressful check-in breached privacy
Check-in was stressful because the male receptionist spoke too fast and seemed stressed. I had to constantly clarify details, and he didn't seem happy with my questions. Checkout was also strange. Another male receptionist asked where we were originally from. That was like a breach of privacy. Plus, both receptionists asked me to leave them a positive review, even writing their names on a card. Bit much.

Excellent Stay with Marina Views
friendly staff complimentary cake convenient train station
The hotel staff was friendly. I appreciated the complimentary cake (a lovely surprise!). The breakfast had many choices, with both continental and full English options available. The nearby train station made trips into the city very convenient.
The nespresso machine in my room leaked. It was quite a mess, but thankfully nothing was damaged.

The hotel is near public transportation (handy for getting around). There are trains that run frequently. The hotel overlooks the marina (a pretty sight).

I had a meal at the anchor restaurant. The staff were great. msgana greeted us with a warm smile and made sure we had everything we needed. the pool was pleasant (i especially liked relaxing there). the breakfast was good, with a wide selection of food.
