Note that due to the building's architecture, there are no elevators; however, some ground floor rooms are available.

Located a 10-minute walk from York's historic centre, the family-run Wheatlands Lodge Hotel is near many attractions including Clifford's Tower, The National Railway Museum, and Jorvik. The steps onto the City walls are just 5 minutes away. The hotel is 50 km from Leeds Bradford International Airport. A free but limited private car park is available to the rear of the hotel. Alternative street parking is available nearby on Scarcroft Road & Albemarle Road. Overspill parking is available from 4pm on a Friday for the weekend at All Saints school, 2 minutes' walk away.

Wheatlands Lodge Hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Guests can leave any luggage with reception. Accessible areas include the main entrance, 12 guest bedrooms, public restrooms, restaurant, bar, TV lounge and entrance form the carpark. Grab rails, shower stool and wheelchair are available on request. Check-in is after 2 PM. Check-out is 10.30 AM, but luggage can be stored with reception.
