Service and Room Temperature Problems

peeling wallpaper dry pastries
I encountered problems with the room temperature. It was uncomfortably hot. Staff offered a fan, this did not solve the underlying problem. The room looked tired, with visible spills and peeling wallpaper. The service at dinner was not attentive. The waitress seemed disinterested when my husband mentioned his steak was too fatty. Breakfast was disappointing. Avocado on toast was mush, and pastries were dry.

the room was generous. it was well finished. it had everything i could ask for. the artworks around the hotel made walking around fascinating. there were some really lovely pieces to be admired.
the room felt tired. it felt grubby. there was a real lack of attention to detail. there were cobwebs in the bathroom. the overall standard of cleanliness was poor. it needs better basic maintenance.

dirty patio missing extractor fan
The food and drinks met my expectations. The wines especially were excellent.
The room's patio was not clean. Bird poop covered the floor. The bathroom lacked an extractor fan, a basic amenity I expect. These details significantly detracted from what should have been a flawless experience.
