the room was great and the bed was comfy. breakfast was also great!

i booked spa treatments, but there were none available because of staffing issues. the room wasn't cleaned for two days. there was no fresh water, tea, milk, or coffee. it was a very poor experience.

Breakfast included varied juices. I noticed orange, tomato, pineapple, apple, and grapefruit. The staff were generally friendly. They provided prompt service. Free private parking was a HUGE advantage. I never worried about finding a space.

The thin walls let ALL sounds pass.

The bedroom included everything needed for a comfortable visit. It felt luxurious. The large en-suite was super clean, offering plenty of space, SO important for a relaxing stay. The bed ensured a GREAT night's sleep.

Golf and Comfort

great location hotel staff

the hotel has a great location near the golf course (royal troon is right there). i was able to book restaurants through the staff, both at the hotel and nearby. it was a great help for our golf trip. the front porch was a good place for coffee with friends.

i found that the hotel did not have a direct telephone line. all calls went through central reservations, and i was on hold for a while. it was a bit frustrating trying to reach the hotel directly.

the hotel included a clean pool with a nice view, and a magnificent putting green. there were opportunities to walk around the golf course, and also along the shore. the spa seemed complete.

a beautiful seaside escape

i loved our classic sea view double room. complimentary bottled water and nespresso coffee facilities were a wonderful touch. gordon, the concierge, showed us the room amenities. the seal bar had a great drinks selection, along with views of the golf course and sea.

The walls seemed rather thin. I could hear conversations from neighboring rooms.
