Tickton Grange is often praised for its exceptional dining experiences, especially the Bloomsbury menu with its five courses and champagne. Many guests appreciate the beautifully decorated Bloomsbury Room, particularly during events like Christmas afternoon tea, where they enjoyed festive teas and vegetarian options. Some visitors have noted occasional issues like ladybirds in rooms or minor dampness, but overall, the hotel offers comfortable rooms with thoughtful touches, such as high-quality toiletries and extras like razors. The bar area also stands out as a highlight, providing a lovely atmosphere for pre-dinner drinks.
I really loved the Christmas afternoon tea, it felt so special. the champagne was deliciously balanced, and the endless pots of christmas tea had such festive flavors. the staff was like family. Eileen mentioned i could pop in just for coffee anytime, which i plan to do!
the room felt a bit too warm, even after adjusting the thermostats on the radiators (maybe it's just the british weather being surprisingly nice).

hot roompest problem
The room was too hot even after I adjusted the thermostat I couldn't cool it down. I also noticed ladybirds kept appearing on the inside of the windows something a quick sweep should have caught. For the price I paid I expected better attention to detail especially when it came to pest control and climate control. I told the reception but they seemed like it happens all the time so they were indifferent. Perhaps they should invest in better insulation or pest control measures it would save the awkward conversation and the sleepless nights.

stained cushionsladybird infestation
the initial room assigned, a standard double, clearly needed some attention. i noticed stains on the scatter cushions and an abundance of cobwebs on the headboard. additionally, the presence of numerous ladybirds inside the windows was quite unsettling, it made the room less enjoyable than i had expected.

stained scatter cushionsdamp on the wall
The initial room assigned was not up to standard. the carpet did not appear thoroughly cleaned and the scatter cushions had noticeable stains. after returning from the bar, we discovered a significant number of ladybirds inside the windows. This prompted a room change. even the second room, the dale suite, showed signs of damp on the wall. it was also excessively warm despite adjustments to the thermostats.
