The Beach hotel has sixteen rooms, including two family suites. Each room is decorated in a New England seaside style with cooling limed oak furniture, Vi-Spring beds, and Lloyd Loom chairs. Duck or goose feather duvets and pillows are standard, with hollow fiber bedding available upon request. Each room includes a mini-fridge with free milk and mineral water, a flat-screen TV with Blu-Ray player, and an iPod dock, as well as an en suite bathroom with toiletries. Superior rooms feature Juliet balconies and sea views, with super king or king size beds. Classic Plus rooms face the rear and have super king or king size beds. Suites have one double and one twin room, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate bath, a lounge area with a kitchenette, and an outdoor seating area. Bol Y Maer Apartments, Crooklets House, and Crooklets View provide self-catering options.
Dining at The Beach
The Elements restaurant provides dishes that include barbecue beef brisket, curried lamb shoulder, John Dory with sautéed potato and pea vinaigrette, and classic fish and chips with crushed peas and French fries. The bar offers killer cocktails, coffee, and cake. A breakfast buffet of continental classics includes cooked-to-order dishes such as kippers, poached eggs with lemon butter, smoked salmon with avocado, and pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup. 'Breakfast bubbles', Prosecco, are available on weekends. The Edge Bar & Restaurant, located next door, features food boards, Cornish cream teas, and a range of cocktails.
Leisure and Activities
Guests can watch the world go by from the shared outside terrace in front of the property. The hotel is a prime spot for surfers and sea-lovers, near Summerleaze Beach. Nearby activities include swimming in Summerleaze Bay, cycling around Bude to Widemouth Bay, and running through Bude along the canal. Bude Sea Pool is a short walk along the coastal path. Shoreline Extreme Sports organizes a cycling event with hill climbs along the coastal road from Bude to Boscastle. The Wyldes, a wooded valley just outside of Bude, hosts a multi-award-winning music festival.
