Tewinbury Farm Hotel is often chosen for events and social gatherings, thanks to its lovely location on the banks of a chalk stream; some guests particularly enjoyed the atmosphere and considered it relaxing. Accommodations like the riverside lodges and lake huts, such as Cowslip, are frequently described as stunning, private, and well-equipped, including comfortable beds, while others noted the rooms in the main house have nice touches like pillow spray. The Granary Kitchen is a popular choice for lunch, with the food often described as amazing, although some guests have occasionally found the music from events to be quite loud. Breakfast is also generally very good, with plenty of choice.

Fantastic Anniversary Weekend!

modern conveniencehidden spotloud cleaner
My partner and I enjoyed our anniversary weekend in a Lakeside Lodge with a hot tub. This lodge was fine. It was fitted with every modern convenience one could imagine. The grounds are beautiful, with many hidden spots to explore. We dined in the Cowshed where the chef adapted our meal to suit our taste. That was a real plus.
I encountered a minor issue with the room phone. I tried calling reception, but it just rang without an answer. I heard cleaners being very loud outside our window at 8 AM. This woke me up. It was not what I expected from such a lovely place.
Service

The staff was helpful and attentive, which contributed to a nice experience. Reception provided quick assistance with directions. I found the service to be both efficient and friendly. I was very happy.
Dining

Breakfast portions at the Granary Restaurant were generous and of excellent quality. Dinner in the Courtyard Restaurant was to a very high standard. The chef in the Cowshed happily adapted the meal to meet specific tastes. It was good.

The grounds offered safe spaces for children to play freely. There are lovely walks nearby with alpacas, sheep and pigs. The grounds are gorgeous, with many unique and little nooks. It was fantastic!

The riverside lodge hot tub was definitely a highlight. It was nice.
I was quite disappointed by the level of cleanliness in the room. there were some stains on the carpet and dust in the corners. the telephone didn't seem to work. I tried calling reception multiple times, but nobody answered. this made it hard to request any assistance.

Anniversary Bliss

private hutreally good servicesoundproofing issue
We celebrated our first anniversary here. We booked a private hut and the service was really good from reception to the restaurants. Everyone attended to our needs. We have dined here multiple times since selecting this venue for our wedding, and the cuisine remains consistently good.
During the stay, I noted that the soundproofing in the rooms was not adequate. Noise from nearby events traveled easily, it sometimes disrupted the peace and quiet in our room and affected our relaxation.

The staff was attentive and friendly, providing prompt assistance and addressing our needs efficiently. The dining areas were clean and well-kept, and the service in the restaurants was prompt. The reception staff offered clear information about hotel amenities.
