Solid Stay with Great Food

I stayed in a room with three single beds. It accommodated my needs perfectly. Breakfast offered a pleasant view and a decent selection of items. The quality of the food was quite good. The staff were particularly attentive, ready to help with any request, I found this very welcome.
The hotel lacked an elevator. I had to carry my luggage up some spiral stairs to reach the first floor. This posed a challenge. The hotel might consider assistance with heavy bags.

My room included tea, coffee, biscuits, and popcorn, which I thought was a lovely touch. The family room included both a bath and a shower, providing flexible options for bathing.

I found that the full cooked breakfast was easily the best I have ever had at a hotel. The fish and chips had super fresh fish with the crunchiest batter, I loved it. Mussels tasted great. Portion sizes were generous.

The location is fabulous and striking because it is on the lochfront and handy for amenities. The hotel overlooks the loch. The view is broad. The inn has some historic features, the character is oozing.

The staff handled my request for extra pillows acceptably.
The absence of a lift was a major issue. Carrying luggage up several flights of stairs was difficult , and the winding staircase made it even more challenging. The hotel's old wooden structure creaked significantly . I could hear every footstep and conversation from adjacent rooms.

I found it VERY annoying that the shower pressure was low. It made showering difficult, and it's something I hope they address soon. I think checking the water pressure is a basic maintenance task.

I spent several nights in the Standard Double Room. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, so I feel thankful. The food tasted excellent and staff provided excellent service. I loved my stay at this fantastic place, and I am grateful for their great service.
Sound insulation between rooms are not adequate. It was very inconvenient.

Breakfast had a great choice, so I feel thankful. The full cooked breakfast is easily the best I have ever had at a hotel, and it was delicious. The mussels starter tasted great, and the portion sizes were generous.

The hotel has excellent 18th-century architecture and amazing history. The bar is very reasonably priced. I found tables outside and started queuing inside at least 15 minutes before the lunch service cut off.
