the food was great for both dinner and breakfast in the bar, which i found quite acceptable.
The waitress did not seem to understand my request for more sauce. She said they could not do that, then returned with a pot on the side. it was a dry chicken dish. The lack of flexibility was tiresome.

Excellent Stay on the West Highland Way

I found the location ideal (right on the West Highland Way). The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The modern bathroom in my room had a large, welcome tub. The buffet breakfast offered a convenient way to start the day, too.
The receptionist seemed a bit rude upon arrival. I think the welcome could have been warmer and more informative. Some clarification at check-in would improve the arrival experience for weary travelers.

This hotel is literally on the West Highland Way. It also offers gorgeous views towards the lake from the garden. The location provides a beautiful setting for dinner too.

The location was on the loch side. the gardens were down to the water. That was nice. the food in the bar was good, and the staff was friendly.
the receptionist was rude when i arrived. my room was cold, and the towel radiator did not work. i tried to call reception, but no one answered.
