Porch House, Northallerton's oldest private dwelling, features three en-suite guest rooms. The Four Poster Bedroom, the most luxurious room, is on the first floor overlooking the Parish Church and features a super king-sized four-poster bed, a seating area, a dressing table, and a desk. The Ground Floor Twin Room, overlooking the walled garden, is suitable for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Breakfast: Yorkshire Tradition
Porch House serves traditional Yorkshire breakfast cooked straight from the Aga. Breakfast includes a buffet with fresh fruits, cereals, freshly squeezed orange juice, and yogurt. Guests can order smoked salmon from Staithes with scrambled eggs, omelets, and a full Yorkshire breakfast. The traditional Yorkshire Breakfast is served with crystal glasses and silver cutlery. Porch House food menus feature tavern classics, sharing platters, and gourmet burgers, offering a 'grazing' style of eating while enjoying a beer.
Leisure & Entertainment
Romanby, an 18-hole golf course, is set in 200 acres of parkland with lakes and the River Wiske. Golf parties are a speciality at Romanby and packages are available for small societies and large corporate events. Also nearby, Mount Grace Priory houses wildlife and visitors can visit a 13th-century manor house containing an exhibition and two newly restored arts and crafts rooms. The new Mouseman Visitor Centre takes you on a journey through the life and times of the Mouseman from humble beginnings to furniture legend.
