“This property strikes me as a mixed bag, with service that some find exceptional, especially in the dining room. I noted mentions of recent refurbishments to suites, offering modern aesthetics, though some facilities need updating. It seems best suited to families seeking a base near attractions like Strathclyde Country Park and M&Ds Theme Park.”

dog friendly area helpful staff dirty glasses unavailable items
I loved the hotel's dog-friendly atmosphere. There WAS a good area nearby perfect for dog exercise. The staff seemed very helpful and polite. The countryside location added to the appeal.
I must say, the cleanliness was a PROBLEM. I noticed dirty glasses, a definite concern. The menu listed items that were unavailable, so that was annoying. The service was slow, even after waiting in the bar.

friendly staff helpful staff superb breakfast scottish breakfast hot room speeding car bathroom mold
the staff was friendly and helpful. they were willing to assist with requests to. dinner was quite good, and breakfast was also superb. i enjoyed the scottish breakfast (i especially loved the black pudding).
my room was very hot. i had to keep the window open all night to regulate the temperature. the noise from speeding cars woke me up a few times (it was a bit annoying). there was also mold in the bathroom, and i think this should be addressed.

Okay stay with some issues

friendly staff helpful staff good location nice location good food tasty food detached doorknob bathroom doorknob portable heater plug heater missing wallpaper hallway wallpaper
The staff members were very friendly and helpful . I appreciated their assistance with directions and recommendations. The location was good, being close to some nice walking areas (i enjoyed exploring them). I also found the food to be good, especially the fish and chips.
I stayed in a room where the bathroom door doorknob was partially detached. The room had a portable plug in heater, yet it felt quite cold. Some wallpaper was missing in the hallways leading to the rooms. This gave the impression of needing some updates.
