satisfactory canalside stay

waterway locationbreakfast roomhistoric photoskey codesmall roomlumpy mattress
the location near the waterways was a highlight for me. i liked that i could make my own breakfast in the dining room. the history connected to the building and the area's photos were interesting.
Access to the hotel involved several key codes. my room was quite small. i found the mattress to be a bit lumpy. It needs replacing.

Great Room with Fantastic View

comfy bedamazing viewcold room
The room featured a comfy bed and pillows. Views from the room were amazing. The lounge room offered coffee, tea, and pancakes. I found everything I needed there.
The window let wind in. It made the room cold. Getting a taxi was hard too.
Facilities
9/10
The common room included excellent facilities. I saw a kitchen, should you need somewhere to eat in the morning or evening. There is also a disused railway line beside the hotel. Now, it has been converted into a walk or cycleway.

harbour stay

harbour frontbreakfast snackswooden windows
the location was great, right on the harbour front. instructions to enter the car park and room were easy to follow. there was a communal room (a nice touch) with a coffee machine, fridge, and some breakfast snacks.
the room was cold. the original wooden windows let the cold air in, so i blocked the gaps with a towel.
Dining

there is no official breakfast offered but a communal kitchen is available. it has a coffee machine, fridge and complimentary breakfast snacks for the guests. i used it to prepare a quick morning coffee.

I found the beds very comfy. tea and coffee were provided. Pods were included. the views of the ships passing by from the windows were great. the communal room had a coffee machine, fridge, and even some breakfast snacks.
access to the hotel wasn't inviting due to the location underneath railway arches. then there were three key access codes to get in.

check-in was easy, and i received door codes earlier that day. there were no staff around, but they weren't needed. any communication was done via message. it worked well.

The room decor was beautiful. My room was spacious. It had lovely views over the marina. The coffee machine was useful.
The owner can be rude. I found a cigarette end under the bed. The listing says it is a hotel but there is no staff on site.
