Guests often appreciate the spacious rooms, sometimes even receiving upgrades. The hotel's location proves ideal for exploring attractions like the Glengoyne Distillery and accessing the West Highland Way. Many enjoy the provided breakfast, which includes options such as cereal and porridge. While the bell tents offer a simple experience, some guests have noted that the Shepherd's Hut description can be misleading.

The staff were so friendly. They really did. We had a meal cooked for us. It tasted amazing! The morning sunrise was beautiful! It shone over the mountains and trees.
Our room was small. I thought it would be bigger from the pictures. Entry to the room was through the bathroom. The bathroom got cold. We were under stairs to the second floor. It was terribly noisy anytime someone went upstairs.
