“Uplawmoor is the kind of place where the staff remembers your name, and the food, sourced locally, tastes like it came from your own kitchen-if you had a very good cook. The building itself has a charming, dated aesthetic, and the cocktail bar hums with a classic, familial energy. With easy access to Glasgow, it's a spot that's as convenient as it is welcoming.”

Uplawmoor Hotel is known for its charming, traditionally decorated rooms, which guests often describe as spacious and comfortable. While some have noted that breakfast isn't served until 10 am, a full Scottish breakfast is available and considered good value for money at £98 for two, which includes dinner. the staff were helpful .
The breakfast situation was unacceptable. A proper cooked breakfast wasn't available until 10 am. they offered a breakfast box as an alternative, but that box never materialized. the shower also presented problems because water pressure was quite low.

lisa and the team were very cute. lisa offered us a dog-friendly room when everywhere else was fully booked. the atmosphere was lovely, and the room was super clean. the bed was one of the comfiest i have slept in for a long time.
the rooms were a bit on the small side. the decor looked a bit tired. the whole place could use a refurb, it seems.

Comfortable Stay

good foodexcellent dessertsattentive staffdated appearance
The food was very good, and the desserts were excellent. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The hotel has a quiet atmosphere at night, very restful. The room had a good size.
I found that the hotel could use an update, as it appears a little dated. I asked to leave my keys at the unmanned reception, but this was good.
