I found the hotel's location excellent, right in the city center. My room was spacious and featured comfortable beds. I was pleased that the building itself has been wonderfully restored with charm. On arrival, I found a fan already on in my room. This was a thoughtful touch.
The staff looked somewhat annoyed, and were not very friendly upon arrival.

The room faced the street. It lacked proper double glazing. street noise persisted until 4:30 am. i also heard a couple quite audibly from 10 pm to 11 pm and again at 9 am. the room itself felt small and somewhat run down. it definitely wasn't what i expected.

I was charmed by the building's history. It was visibly well-preserved. the super clean en-suite really impressed me. It felt very fresh. i found the full english breakfast substantial and nicely cooked, setting me up perfectly for the day.
the stairs to my upper-floor room were quite steep, which could be a challenge for some.
