really good stay!
attentive staff delicious options helpful doorman
I enjoyed my time there . the staff was very attentive to my needs (nuuan even remembered my anniversary!). the beefbar restaurant offered delicious options. I loved the lemon chicken. craig, the doorman, was particularly helpful, providing valuable local insights.
the ac in my room wasn't as effective as i'd hoped. even with the thermostat set lower, the room remained quite warm. this made it a little uncomfortable at times.

the concierge service was very attentive and helpful, providing useful directions. the staff at the spa were amazing, especially for massages. the hotel staff addressed any issue efficiently and courteously.

convenient location easy access great breakfast tranquil experience
I found the hotel location convenient. It allowed easy access to key attractions. Breakfast at the Contessa each morning was great. I sat on the veranda enjoying the morning breeze. The pool area offered a wonderfully tranquil experience.
I had slight trouble getting the room phone to work initially. I learned later that I should have pressed the green button.

The hotel features extensive well kept gardens. I noticed the outside pool had a bar. It also serves light food dishes, very practical.

Acceptable stay near Valletta
extensive buffet helpful staff ineffective air conditioning slow service
The breakfast buffet was extensive with many options available. The staff were helpful in the restaurant. I also found the location very convenient, a short walk to the city center.
The air conditioning in my room did not seem very effective. The room felt warm despite the thermostat being set low. the service in the lobby bar was slow, even when there were few guests.

the outside pool area hosted excellent themed nights monday to friday!!! the contessa restaurant had a good range of choices for evening dinner. the drinks at the club bar are excellent, i can confirm that!!! breakfast was also first class.

My room was a superior double room and it was immaculate! the housekeeping service visited twice daily. They kept everything super clean. the contessa restaurant had many choices. the pool area was amazing with themed nights monday to friday!
my only slight issue was that the ac wasn't as powerful as i'd hoped, but i still slept well.

excellent grounds professional service great location thoughtful gesture
The building and grounds were excellent and very well maintained. the staff provided professional service and ensured my comfort. the location was great to discover valletta. friendly staff arranged the toys in my daughter's crib. I found this gesture thoughtful.
the ac in my room was not working properly, and the room remained warm, despite the thermostat being set to a lower temperature. i was told that nothing could be done to improve the ac performance. this was disappointing.

busted air conditioning inept concierge service
The concierge service was a joke. i asked about local attractions, and they acted like i was speaking another language. the air conditioning in my superior double room was busted. It barely cooled the room. i reported it twice, but maintenance never bothered to fix it. sleeping was difficult, and the room seemed like a sauna. this, especially given the price.
