the hotel's location on the headland made for easy walks. i appreciated its proximity to attractions, though the hotel itself reminded me of a haven. marika, the concierge, rescued our trip. she arranged a private tour of valletta and a malta at war history tour, her dedication was so touching.

the spa sauna lacked a water bucket, this made the experience less enjoyable, though the massage was still very relaxing!

The breakfast buffet featured chef seif's omelettes. I found them flavorful with bell peppers, onions, ham, tomatoes, and cheese. The coffee machine produced quality espressos each morning. Later, fresh, dense, homemade waffles were introduced, they added variety to the breakfast. i was pleased with the breakfast choices.

Even though i spent time at the hotel making sure the billing was correct, a mistake was still made. The service on the outside cocktail deck was very slow. The inside pool had used towels everywhere and no clean ones on deck. i expected better service.

the breakfast was really good. it had great choices on numerous stations. one station was devoted to vegan options. all the public areas were spotlessly clean and well presented.

the reception staff was not very friendly upon arrival. there was no welcome drink provided. there was also no information given regarding the hotel facilities. the food was not hot enough and lacked choice.
