convenient location easy transit relaxing onsen

the location proved very convenient for accessing shops. i found several bus and subway stops nearby (it was surprisingly easy to use public transit). the onsen provided a relaxing experience after a day of exploring.

the restaurant menu seemed primarily tailored to japanese tastes (breakfast options were somewhat limited for international palates).

convenient location dark tones shared bath

The location provides easy access to shopping areas like Daimaru and Takashimaya.. Gion and Kiyomizu-dera are within walking distance. The hotel decor features moody, dark tones. I also appreciated the shared bath. It was very nice.

The sink was outside of the toilet.. it blocked the way into the room.

Excellent Stay Near Nishiki Market

great location shopping area japanese dishes

This hotel is in a great location. It is easy to walk to Nishiki Market and Teramachi. Many restaurants and shopping areas are nearby. The breakfast had good variety. Pastries, western, and japanese dishes were available. This made it possible to change what we ate every day.

The hotel staff felt unwelcoming to me. The staff went through the motions of being hospitable , but there was zero warmth from them. I didn't get this cold vibe from any other places during my trip. Our room had only the bare minimum of space for a standard room.

The staff helped call taxis twice for me. They also translated our destinations to the taxi driver. The staff were helpful and friendly, so I was happy with the service provided .

the hotel was close to transportation hubs! this was important for me as i needed easy access around the area. the public bath was a relaxing way to end each day. i appreciated having that on-site.

The rooms felt small for my needs. Up to the point that luggage could not fit. i could not open it easily. the western breakfast was not great. the staff barely spoke english, unfortunately.

limited storage awkward basin placement

The location offers good access to transport.

The room I had was quite small. I struggled to store my luggage, and there was barely any space to hang clothes. The placement of the wash basin outside the bathroom felt awkward. the space felt cramped and poorly designed for practical use.
