Middlethorpe Hall offers 29 rooms and suites in the main house and adjacent 18th-century Courtyard. Main House bedrooms feature antique furnishings and garden views. Courtyard Suites include the Colonel Wilkinson, Sir Henry Thompson, Paget, and Sir Francis Terry Suites, each with a sitting room and king-size bed (convertible to twin beds). These suites overlook the gardens or Courtyard; Paget Suite provides easier access on the ground floor. Courtyard Bedrooms are located in the restored C18th Courtyard. Cottage Suites, situated 50 yards from the main house in a Victorian cottage, feature a garden, queen double bedrooms, sitting rooms, and tea/coffee facilities. The Garden Suite, located in Middlethorpe Court, includes parking, a patio garden, a dining/sitting room, two bedrooms (king/twin double and single), and a kitchen. Rooms feature flat-screen TVs, DVD players, and Wi-Fi. Some rooms also offer Nespresso machines.
Dining Options
Middlethorpe Hall offers two dining rooms, The Oak and The Pineapple, for breakfast and candlelit dinners. The restaurant's menu features Yorkshire produce and seasonal fruits and vegetables from the estate garden. Guests can choose from the 'a la carte' dinner menu or the 'six-course Tasting Menu' created by Head Chef Ashley Binder. The full 'Yorkshire' breakfast includes eggs, grilled bacon, local pork sausage, roasted vine tomatoes, sautéed field mushroom, and pan-fried black and white pudding. Other choices include poached haddock with poached egg and smoked salmon & scrambled egg. Afternoon Tea is available and enhanced by Hoogly Tea, with a selection of open sandwiches and pastries. A whisky selection is also available.
Leisure and Spa
The Health and Fitness Spa, located in a separate building behind Edwardian cottages, offers a swimming pool, sauna, and gymnasium. The Spa provides treatments using Aromatherapy Associates, Shellac, and Mii products. Spa treatments include facials, body massages, holistic treatments, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and tanning. All facial treatments include a scalp massage and facial massage. Children aged 8-16 may use the Spa at set swimming times.
