“In my opinion, this is a remarkable place, blending a 19th-century palace with modern luxury, and features diverse dining options alongside a casino. The setting on Zamalek, an island in Cairo, offers unique cultural proximity; I think its historic architecture is a real draw. It stands out as a vibrant and convenient base for exploring the city.”

the breakfast buffet was indeed something special. everything tasted fresh, especially the pastries (i have a sweet tooth, you know). ibrahim, the bell hop, were very good by bringing me authentic mango juice with frosted glasses.
the bathtub didn't drain properly. i also noticed the building felt a bit run down in certain areas. i didn't like not being able to book tables in the restaurants outside (i love to explore local spots).

The size of the hotel was excellent. I even needed a map. the breakfast had a wide variety of options. the heated outdoor pool was also a plus. i used it for a few hours.
my room curtains did not fully close, which let in light. the in-house pub permitted smoking, which i did not like. the coffee shop was only accessible to guests who were having the iftar buffet during ramadan.. this felt restrictive.
