The hotel is situated by the river. I found the breakfast had a good selection including porridge. The dinner menu and overall dining experience was fine.
There was a bit of work going on in the corridors and some carpets pulled up.

the service felt off at times. i had to search for someone to take my order when i sat outside. then, during dinner, they presented the bill before i was finished. it felt rushed and not very attentive, especially considering the price i paid. it just wasn't a seamless experience, sadly.

i stayed in a double or twin room and it was very clean. the leisure facilities were excellent, i thought. the hotel was also warm throughout, a real plus .
I found some of the bins outside had rubbish scattered around, a bit of a letdown. the spa area was also massively overcrowded. It impacted my enjoyment.

The bed had two pillow choices with different firmness levels. the bathroom included a fabulous shower with satisfying pressure! there were plenty of towels, which i really appreciated. dinner included large portions of delicious food. I especially enjoyed the non-alcoholic cocktails.
The bar advertised cocktails. they lacked the equipment to make them. This was very disappointing, as i love cocktails.

The food was lovely and the staff were very helpful. i liked the pool and the easy walk from my room in a robe and slippers. It was so handy!!!
the service wasn't great. we had to keep walking around to the front to order while sitting outside. i was woken up at 6 am by a loud fitness class.

Acceptable Stay with Some Issues

The hotel location is great, especially the views from the restaurant.
I found the bar situation odd. Signs advertised cocktails but staff said they lacked equipment to make any. How can a bar in 2024 (it was supposed to be 2025) not have a cocktail shaker? The room was also far too warm and I had to adjust the radiators to try to make it bearable (it was a struggle).
