the hotel is next to the central train station. this was acceptable.

the room was too small for two people. i thought i had booked a single room initially. the receptionist barely spoke english and stated the card payment amount only in french.

lack of air conditioningstreet noise

The lack of air conditioning was a significant issue . The room became quite stuffy and uncomfortable. I also noticed some wear and tear, like chipped paint and slightly outdated fixtures, which gave the room a less-than-fresh feel. the noise from the street below made it difficult to sleep soundly at night. There was constant activity that disrupted the peace. I think the hotel could benefit from some updates and better soundproofing.
